Projection mapping technology has captured the attentions of global audiences like no other live visual medium has in decades. It’s been a privilege and a challenge to meet the demands of directing and delivering these complicated shows for some of the best technical production companies and forward-thinking clients in the world. I look forward to remaining part of the talented teams expanding this visual language as it reaches more and more people world wide.
Mega-scale, award-winning projection mapping show illuminating the beauty of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu-Dhabi in celebration of the UAE’s 40th anniversary. Obscura Digital commissioned Dorian Orange to create and deliver almost all of the content for which I ran a large team to create the entire 12 minute show based on photos from the interoir of the building and the culture and history of The Emirates. I did a fair amount of the animation myself as well, composited, and edited everything / handled outputting the various deliverables to the projection wizards of Obscura. One of the largest video installations ever done and obviously quite a privalege. A true highlight of my career.

The Thea Award-winning “Grand Hall Experience” at the St. Louis Union Station is the largest permanently installed indoor immersive projection mapping show in the United States, featuring full 12K+ imagery spanning the original 1894 barrel ceiling and has been an ongoing creative collaboration that’s been a amazing opportunity to contribute to. The pair of rock n’ roll tribute shows I directed fill out an already impressive visual package, entertaining diners and guests nightly w a booming 10.1 surround sound system, LED accent lighting, and a thrilling dose of feel-good musical nostalgia. Once given the musical selection I concepted and designed the visuals then directed a team of talented artists to execute them. I also did a fair amount of the animation myself, edited and composited the timelines and oversaw all outputting of the various deliverables for the onsite technical team.
